Community Involvement

The Co-operative Group is a founder member of the Employers Forum on Belief. We are also members of the Employers Forum on Age and the Employers Forum on Disability. To support our work around domestic violence, The Co-operative Group is also a member of the Corporate Alliance Against Domestic Violence. We are also a Stonewall Diversity Champion.

The Co-operative Group is committed to working with Business in the Community and we are members of both Opportunity Now and Race for Opportunity, and regularly complete both organisations benchmarking surveys.

We are proud of our North-West heritage, and we are committed to supporting the communities around Manchester where we have our headquarter. The Co-operative Group sits on the Board of the Greater Manchester Employers Coalition and inputs and supports the City Strategy for development. We are also part of the Central Manchester Employers Alliance, and work with other employers to engage people within Manchester around employment and training.
