Energy Works
a unique interactive learning experience for young people
The Co-operative is amongst the world’s leading businesses when it comes to taking up the challenge of combating climate change. 98% of our electricity is sourced from good quality renewable sources, such as wind and water power. We want to inspire young people to take action, and our education centre at The Co-operative’s Coldham Wind Farm in Cambridgeshire is one of the ways we do so.
Since 2007, The Co-operative has been supporting Energy Works, an on-site environmental education programme. Energy Works is a learning experience that enables school children and young people to make more informed choices about actions influencing climate change.
More than 3,500 young people have visited Energy Works so far.
