The Co-operative Foundation is an independent charitable trust set up in 2000 and solely funded by The Co-operative Group. The Society has donated nearly £10 million so far. The Foundation's current grant making programme,
Truth about Youth, is aiming to challenge and change negative perceptions about young people, by working with seven charities in cities around the UK:
- Envision – Birmingham
- Oval House – London
- Prince’s Trust – Bristol
- Regional Youth Work Unit – Newcastle
- Royal Exchange – Manchester
- Young Scot – Glasgow
- YWCA – Cardiff
