Keep plants well watered

Keeping plants well watered helps them produce more nectar for pollinators.

Be less tidy!

Mow your grass less often to allow flowers such as daises and dandelions grow through. Hoverflies in particular like flat headed plants such as daises. Leave fallen leaves to provide a place for caterpillars and moths to hide from predators.

Provide water

Provide water for bees to drink – this can be as simple as a shallow edged dish of water. Add some pebbles to help the bees climb out.

Protect swarms

If you see a swarm of bees, contact your local beekeeping association to collect the swarm.
