Within The Co-operative Group we have produced a ‘warts and all’ Sustainability Report every year since 1997, setting new standards for reporting over the last 15 years. Over that time, we have reported on our performance, both good and bad, and this Report continues that commitment to openness and honesty.
Our 2011 Report is split into 18 sections that sit within the broader areas of Social responsibility, Ecological sustainability and Delivering value. These detail performance on our most material sustainability issues. Within each section, we have established performance indicators and set targets, most of which are derived from our Ethical Plan.
