Joining the revolution
Last weekend, the submissions for The Co-operative Join The Revolution initiative were closed. In total, there were 37 pages of entrants, with over 290 applications being sent in from the four corners of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Here at the Enterprise Hub, we've been especially pleased to witness the conversations about the scheme over our social networks; a search on the #jointherevolution Twitter hashtag reveals dozens of different groups and individuals campaigning for the revolutions they feel most strongly about.
As we're based in Manchester, we've also kept a keen eye on the local institutions raising awareness for their own revolutions. We've seen submissions from theatre venues, hyper-local news websites and council bodies and it's been heartening to see so many groups nominate themselves for the scheme.
But now all the applications are in, it's time to start voting for your favourite revolution. You can vote for as many initiatives as you like until the 29th May; that's when we close the vote and being to tally up the scores.
If your favourite institution or venue has submitted a revolution, feel free to campaign for it; we want to see as much chatter on the #jointherevolution hashtag as possible.
And finally, best of luck to all the revolutions. We've had a wonderful time reading them all!
