Plenty of reusable timber in Cambridge
Cambridge Wood Works has been busy building up its stocks since it was featured at the launch of The Co-operative Enterprise Hub had in East of England region on 31 March.
The new co-operative that ‘rescues and re-uses’ timber normally dumped in skips now has good quantities of reusable timber suitable for DIY household or garden projects, as well as a plentiful supply of pallets (popular for making compost bins) and firewood. It has also started to make some basic products such as bird boxes and compost bins. Its shop in the centre of Cambridge is normally open 10-4, Monday to Friday.
