The Co-operative Enterprise Hub to Launch in the North West
Places are still available at the launch of the Enterprise hub in the North West, which takes place in Manchester on Tuesday, April 20.
This free event, to be held at the Friends Meeting House on Mount Street, will showcase the great work being done by the hub around the country to support the creation and growth of sustainable co-operative businesses.
Among the 50 people to have already confirmed their attendance are existing co-operatives and those interested in starting a co-operative.
Two of the most inspirational co-operative case studies from the region will be telling their stories at the event - organic market garden Glebelands City Growers, from Sale, and Rochdale-based home care co-operative Sunshine Care. They will be talking about how the hub has helped them with issues such as finance, business development, becoming incorporated, governance and decision-making.
The day will provide a great opportunity to learn about the specialist support and finance packages offered completely free of charge by the Enterprise hub. The hub's Michael Fairclough and Graham Waterhouse will be speaking and on hand to answer questions.
If you would like to attend, email jo[at]cooperatives-nw.coop. A free lunch will be provided to all those to confirm their attendance by this Monday. Everyone is welcome.
