Assisting Rehabilitation

Art created by inmates from some of Scotland’s prisons went on show at the Edinburgh Festival for the first time in 2008 as part of an innovative project funded by the Co-operative Group, organised with Motherwell College in association with Carnegie College and the Scottish Prison Service.
The purpose of this event and previous events in the North West also supported by the Co-operative is aimed at helping rehabilitate prisoners, exhibiting their talents and supporting their eventual release.
