Sustainability Report
Focus on Sustainability
The Co-operative Group Sustainability Report 2009 presents an open and honest account of The Co-operative's performance, including that of former Somerfield and Britannia, focusing on the social, ethical and environmental issues that are most material to the business and its stakeholders.
Leading environmentalist Jonathan Porritt, Founder Director of Forum for the Future, who provides commentary on the Report, writes: “The Co-operative has an outstanding record in gathering and sharing data across an extraordinarily wide range of financial, social, environmental and governance issues – and this is powerfully reflected in this fourth fully-consolidated Sustainability Report.”
