The Co-operative Farms 2 corn on the cob, “Grown by us”
At our farm in Coldham, near Wisbech, corn on the cob is grown by Farm Manager Russell Armstrong and his team at the 3,600 acre site. Sold in a twin pack, our sweetcorn is available during summer and just one cob provides you with one of your 5 a day.
For a sweet and smoky flavour, cooking on the barbecue is the ultimate summer treat.
1. Soak your cobs in a bowl of cold water for about 30 minutes.
2. Once soaked shake off the excess water, place on a sheet of foil and add some butter. For a twist mix in either parsley, mint, chives, rind of lemon or garlic to the butter to add exciting flavour. Wrap up the cobs in the foil.
3. Cook on a barbecue on a medium heat for 30 minutes, turning occasionally. Carefully unwrap and enjoy!
