we don't test any of our own brand cosmetics on animals

The co-operative has had, for many years, one of the most stringent non-animal testing policies of all the grocery retailers, covering its own brand non-food products.

It has built up a wealth of information on the issue of animal rights and animal welfare; information that we believe should be shared with our customers. We now have so much information, that it is not feasible to publish it all as a comprehensive instore leaflet. So we are using alternative technologies, such as our web site, to publish the story as we see it. 

The information is also available via our Customer Careline Freephone telephone number or Freephone address, and is also available on request in Large Print and Braille. This means that it will be easier to keep the story up to date.
