In the home and garden
Most of us use a variety of pesticides in our everyday lives
In the home
We use pesticides to control insects with fly killers / ant killers etc. And if we have a problem with mice or rats a rodenticide might be used.
We may also use a pesticide treatment to prevent the growth of lichen, moss and fungi on carpets, and woodwork.
On our pets
Fleas and lice are controlled using pesticides
Around the garden
Pesticides can be used to control slugs, aphids and weeds. These have less concentration that agricultural pesticides allowing us to handle them without the need for protective clothing.
Benefit versus risk
