We build roads, clinics and schools with chocolate
We offer a great choice of products based on Fairtrade cocoa, from simple but fantastic chocolate bars to delicious chocolate brownies and a fantastic range of gift boxed chocolates.
And you know that these Fairtrade chocolates won't leave a bad taste in your mouth because they have been fairly paid for.
- In 2000 our 45g milk chocolate bar was the UK's first own brand product to carry the Fairtrade mark.
- In 2011 we have introduced fantastic new Fairtrade flavours, hard to resist but a great reason not to feel guilty!
In 2009 we converted all our own-brand block chocolate to Fairtrade
Dominican Republic
The cocoa in our standard range of chocolate comes from a 10,000 strong co-operative of small holder farmers in Conacado Dominican Republic. As well as paying a Fairtrade price for their cocoa, we are also contributing additional funding to benefit the local community.
Our Truly Irresistible chocolate - best of the best
Our Truly Irresistible chocolate bars are produced using the highest quality cocoa beans from Ghana and Peru.
Pa Pa Paa! Is Kuapa Kookoo's slogan, chant and greeting - it means 'best of the best!' And it's no idle boast either, as they grow the highest quality cocoa in West Africa.
That's why we are happy this co-operative of 45,000 farmers in Ghana supply cocoa for our 'Truly Irresistible' chocolate, allowing the cocoa farming communities to invest in:
- health clinics
- wells
- schools.
More recently, and as part of our support of other co-operative organisations, we have begun to source cocoa beans from Agraria Acopagro Co-operative, a co-operative of 1,800 cocoa farmers in Peru.
