Fairtrade began with ‘commodity’ products such as coffee and cocoa, but to ensure that as many customers as possible are given the opportunity to help producers by making the Fairtrade choice, The Co-operative has maintained an innovative and leadership approach to product development.

As you would expect, all of our stores – even the very smallest – stock a core range of key Fairtrade products such as coffee, tea, sugar, chocolate and bananas. But look out too for the more ‘unexpected’. Seasonally, we offer Fairtrade products including Christmas puddings, mince pies and Easter Eggs as well as gifts and boxed chocolates.

Our Fairtrade flower range is expanded at Valentines Day to provide extra special blooms for that extra special someone! On a hot summer’s day what better refreshment than our Fairtrade lollies, made from a fruit smoothie recipe. And in the cold of winter why not warm the cockles with our Fairtrade spice mulled wine sachets in a full bodied Fairtrade red?

We offer a wide range of products based on Fairtrade cocoa and sugar – from yummy chocolate cakes, chocolate sauce and the finest Scottish choc chip shortbread to muesli, cereal bars and UK brewed organic ale. We also have a Fairtrade honey, a honey ale and even a Fairtrade honey yoghurt.

Who says that Fairtrade is just about coffee and bananas?!
