Our Fairtrade teas are blended from the finest, freshest leaves from India and East Africa. And as refreshing as the taste is the knowledge that every cup has been fairly paid for.

• In February 2008 we converted our entire range of own brand tea to Fairtrade.
• The Co-operative 99 tea is one of the best loved brews in the UK.
• Fairtrade 99 tea won the prestigious Supermarket Q award (the Oscars of the food industry) for best quality hot drink!

Getting the right blend in Kenya

In Kenya we are funding a unique co-operative development programme – one of our most ambitious – bringing 10,000 small-holder tea farmers together as co-operatives, helping them to become Fairtrade certified and giving them a market for their tea.

• This is the largest project of its type ever created.
• The farmers' will also be supported by a diversification project.
• It has secured 'matched funding' from the British Government.
• It is boosting farmers income by around 20%.
