Green Schools Revolution Week

Green Schools Revolution Week 2013

Green Schools Revolution Week is back!

Last year saw pupils across the UK digging, planting, saving energy and water, being creative, and having fun. This year Green Schools Revolution Week is happening in even more schools across the UK from 18th – 22nd March, and we’d love you and your pupils to take part. It’s the perfect opportunity to focus attention on green and eco issues and get your pupils thinking about the impact their actions can have on the environment.

Your GSR Week Pack

All our schools are sent a pack to kickstart their planning for Green Schools Revolution Week. There are lots of quick activity ideas so teachers can start the day with a focus on one of our key themes such as Water or Energy.

Plus all schools will receive some wildflower seeds to encourage pollinators into the school grounds! When you register you’ll also find a series of activity ideas to appeal to all ages.

Primary children can get muddy building a haven for wildlife, and older children will enjoy being given responsibility for marketing and finance in the guide to running a craft market.

Don't miss out

From little acorns grow mighty oaks, as the saying goes, and by using some of these activities inside and outside the classroom you will help your pupils, staff and parents consider important sustainability issues. That’s what Green Schools Revolution is all about!
