Against the backdrop of a challenging economy, the UK co-operative sector has continued to grow. There are now almost 6,000 co-operatives nationwide involved in everything from food retail to housing, farming and education.
We believe in the principle of co-operation amongst co-operatives and will endeavour to support the sector, particularly growth in new areas such as schools, community energy, sports clubs and rural services.
