Conveyancing demand up as remortgages rise 48%

Conveyancing services have been popular in the third quarter, as new data shows remortgaging instructions have risen 48 per cent over the three-month period.
The Financial Times reports statistics compiled by the
Conveyancing Alliance show
property solicitors saw a rise in trade, with purchase instructions up 40 per cent compared with the same 12-week stretch in 2009.
Managing director of the group Harpal Singh commented: "We have anticipated a slow turn-around in the remortgage market for some time," adding: "We are certainly proving that brokers want access to low-cost, quality remortgage
conveyancing for their clients."
Moving home could be made easier with the services of a
conveyancing solicitor, who can deal with the legal requirements of exchanging deeds and so remove much of the stress and delay associated with purchasing real estate.
A recent report from the Council of Mortgage Lenders claimed Britons were experiencing difficulties accessing remortgaging deals, a viewpoint that seems to be negated by the latest figures.
