Conveyancing news: Housing market improves
Conveyancing 21 Feb 2011

Those interested in using
conveyancing services will be interested to hear that the UK housing market has improved.
This is according to the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA), whose market report for January revealed that both supply and demand for housing had increased on December 2010's figures.
People interested in conveyancing have been told that in January this year an average of 252 people signed up to purchase property with estate agents, compared to 227 in December.
“It is encouraging to see activity levels begin to increase following the downturn we saw in December where bad weather and the Christmas festivities kept many house hunters away," Michael Jones, President of the NAEA, said.
However, the figure for January 2010 was larger at 291. Mr Jones said that consumer reluctance was a result of macro-economic problems, such as pressure from interest rates and the VAT rise.
In addition, home buyers looking for
conveyancing solicitors were recently offered advice on buying a property by Industry Today.
The news source said that those purchasing a pre-owned home must inspect its floor plan and construction carefully.
