Property conveyancing news: UK house prices revealed

conveyancing services in preparation to purchase a property have been told about UK house prices.
The Department for Communities and Local Government revealed the House Price Index for June 2011, showing that in this month seasonally-adjusted data revealed the cost of homes fell by two per cent over the year, yet rose over the month by 0.6 per cent.
In addition, the data showed that £204,981 was the average mix-adjusted price of a UK home.
Those looking for
conveyancing services have also been told that over the quarter to June, average property prices were 0.5 per cent lower, which was the same as the quarter to March.
Furthermore, in all UK countries average prices decreased during the year, while the amount that first-time buyers paid was on average 2.2 per cent lower than it was a year before.
Those who are thinking of buying their own home should also be aware of all the costs involved in the process, such as the land registry fee, Stamp Duty Land Tax, valuation fees and survey fees.
