Legal Services 23 Feb 2011

Those looking to find a solicitors will be interested to hear that a legal expert has spoken out on changes to the field this year.
Nick Button, president of the Warwickshire Law Society, told the Coventry Telegraph that
legal services, such as those provided by law firms, are undergoing notable changes this year.
He said that a complaints culture was also growing in the legal services sector, which is resulting in regulation focussing on outcomes.
"There’s been a move towards a complaints culture across many industries and the provision of legal services has not escaped," he said.
Mr Button argued clients should be able to make legitimate complaints, but added that they should not be encouraged to find faults, as this would put extra pressure on companies. Despite this, the expert in the law expressed optimism about the year ahead for
legal solicitors.
In addition, Propertyweek.com said that more legal services may be available from high street retailers as a result of the Legal Services Act.
