Legal Services 03 Feb 2011

A Lord has spoken out to those looking to find a solicitors to say that the government has made the wrong choices about
legal help.
Lord Willy Bach, a shadow justice minister, made his opinion known to Leftfootforward.com as members of the shadow justice team and MPs met in the House of Commons to discuss cuts to legal aid today.
According to Lord Bach, most of the 56 law centres in the UK will suffer from the government's 68 per cent cuts to civil legal help.
In addition, the withdrawal of the Financial Inclusion Fund, local authority budgets being cut and reductions to the legal aid budget will see more than half of Britain's Citizen Advice Bureaux close.
Lord Bach said: "Everyone agrees that good early advice saves money in the long run ... The government’s choices, rushed through without sufficient consultation or thought, are simply the wrong ones."
Furthermore, Bolton MP Yasmin Qureshi has joined the Justice For All Campaign, a movement that serves to highlight the important of free, independent
legal advice.
