Michael Sheen supports free legal services Michael Sheen has become the latest celebrity to protest against the government's cuts to free legal services.

The Welsh actor has signed up to the Sound Off For Justice campaign and added a link to the group's website on his Twitter blog on June 2nd.

He wrote on the site: "Please support Sound Off Justice to ensure that our right to to be heard in court through legal aid is not taken away."

The Sound Off For Justice campaign aims to petition the government to abandon the Ministry of Justice's plan to cut its budget for legal aid in an initiative called Proposals for Reform of Legal Aid in England and Wales.

So far the campaign has attracted support from 17,987 individuals - 2,572 who have communicated through the group's Facebook page, 1,322 of whom have followed the campaign on Twitter, 81 of whom have recorded messages of support and 14,012 who have signed a petition against the cuts.
