Mother speaks on importance of free legal help

A mother who pursued a courtroom battle to win her child compensation has spoken about the importance of free
legal services.
Sharon Hollows told the Guardian that free
legal help allowed her to sue the NHS for more than £1 million for her daughter Tatum's future.
Ms Hollows made the move after doctors did not diagnose her child's brain tumour in time, leaving her without her sight.
The news source pointed out that such cases are difficult to bring to court without the aid of free legal services, as expensive medical specialists are required to decide if the incidents in question are negligent or just unfortunate.
Despite this, some have questioned who should receive the help of free legal services after a court battle between businessman John Hamilton-Brown and people squatting in his north London home. Although the squatters were eventually evicted they received legal aid to fund their court battle.
