MP angry over free legal help case

An MP has expressed his dismay after a prisoner received help from
legal services to sue Norwich Prison.
The convicted burglar has decided to make the move as he disagrees with the manner in which wardens at the facility have handled his drug addiction, the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press reported.
Henry Bellingham, MP for North-West Norfolk, said: "I think it is disgraceful that they sue; it is public money. There are legal channels open to those in prison who have a complaint. Suing should only be available in extreme circumstances."
As part of a review of the legal aid bill, Mr Bellingham has revealed that he will discuss the problem with home secretary Theresa May.
In addition, Lord Neuberger, master of the rolls, told the Bar Conference that legal services must keep to high standards all the time as they are a crucial element of society, the Financial Times reported.
