Accident advice essential when dealing with insurance companies?

Personal Injury 13 Dec 2010

Accident advice could help individuals claim the finances they are entitled to, as insurance companies are accused of ever-increasing stringency when it comes to payouts. Accident advice may be more important than ever before when it comes to communicating with insurance companies, as it has been claimed such firms are increasingly reluctant to make substantial payouts.

Personal injury lawyers may be able to help, as the professionals will be accustomed to working with cover providers and trained in the sometimes complex and confusing language employed in official documents.

The Daily Mail reports accident advice might counter exploitation of "grey areas" by insurers keen to protect profits, as assessors hired by such enterprises "will push for one interpretation of the policy," which is unlikely to be favoured by the victim.

Cover providers have been hit in recent times by soaring costs associated with worsening weather patters and unpredictable natural disasters such as flooding and the recent cold snap, which saw incidents of car accident claims rise.

A report from the Herald Scotland reveals AA Insurance saw 21 per cent higher policy demands in Scotland, almost half of which are as a result of snow and icy conditions.
