Accident solicitors help make roads safer?
Personal Injury 14 Dec 2010
Accident solicitors may be instrumental in improving street safety, as it is revealed one local council is using personal
injury claims to inform its decision on mending pavements.
The Hull and East Riding Daily Mail notes nine areas of Beverley are to receive attention after residents registered their concern relating to the so-called blackspots.
Richard Alderson, East Riding Council's highways asset manager, stated: "We take account of the insurance claims for trips and falls and the police's traffic accident data," suggesting successful work by accident solicitors helps such decision-making processes.
Around £16,000 is to be spent on reducing the likelihood of personal injury in the dangerous zones, with a combination of new stone and old materials used to improve areas including Register Square and Corn Exchange Passage.
A recent report in the Daily Mail highlighted the importance of
accident advice when it comes to dealing with insurers, noting legal aid can be beneficial in a climate of increasing reluctance to make large payouts.
