Car accident compensation paid by drunken teenager
Personal Injury 30 Sep 2010

Compensation for a car accident has been paid by a teenager who caused a crash while under the influence of alcohol.
Though not driving the vehicle, 19-year-old Max Good repeatedly seized the steering wheel, causing the car to swerve and then overturn after crashing into railings, Lynn News reports.
The incident shows the importance of personal injury compensation, which may be necessary even if the driver is not at fault and in the most seemingly unlikely of circumstances.
Mr Good later apologised for the incident, admitting: "I could have killed us all".
No serious injuries were caused, but two of the guilty party's friends were thrown from the car and the fact that no other vehicles were involved may have saved him from paying a much larger sum of compensation for the accident.
A recent report from the Daily Mail showed £169 million worth of damage a year is caused to parked vehicles hit by drivers who do not leave their details, suggesting compensation for road and off-road collisions is commonplace.
