Car crash victim wins "substantial" personal injury compensation
Personal Injury 20 Oct 2010

The victim of a car crash that killed three other passengers has won a "substantial" sum in personal
injury compensation.
Bucks Free Press reports the exact settlement has been kept confidential, with speculation putting the figure at more than a million pounds for road accidents involving "such grave injury".
Nicholas Prosser was left with brain damage and in need of round-the-clock care after the crash, in which two members of his family and a friend lost their lives.
His solicitor stated the personal
injury compensation "will go towards ensuring he has access to the care and rehabilitation he needs", as well as allowing Mr Prosser "to live as normal a life as possible with the injuries he has sustained".
As the incident happened in 1995, the case illustrates the possibility of winning
accident claims long after an event, with the money granted compensating for his needs since then and in years to come.
A recent statement from the Motor
Accident Solicitors Society underlined the importance of health and safety laws for protecting consumers, warning Lord Young's report should reflect this.
