Compensation claims boosted by specialist photography?

Personal Injury 08 Dec 2010

Compensation claims might be assisted with the services of a dedicated photographer, it has been argued. Compensation claims might prove easier to win if individuals engage the services of a specialist photographer, it has been suggested.

Diane Bullock holds a BSc in Medical Photography and has recently launched Teesside's first company specialising in personal injury camera-based documenting, claiming photos are "crucial" in demonstrating the extend of the damage caused, reports the Evening Gazette.

The compensation claims professional comments: "People would never dream of using a solicitor who wasn’t qualified so why should they have to put up with an unqualified photographer?"

She notes accident claims can be ruined by pictures that fail to properly show or measure an injury, adding her desire is to assist those hurt "through no fault of their own" to receive full payment.

Such a service may have been helpful in the case of Malcolm Tuffin, who was crushed by a 101-ft Christmas tree in Prague seven years ago and whose personal injury compensation was recently raised following a Czech Supreme Court ruling.
