Compensation lawyers to help man crushed at work?
Personal Injury 13 Sep 2010

Compensation lawyers may be brought in to help a man who suffered a personal injury in the workplace, after a 65kg metal pillar fell on the victim's head and crushed his skull.
Premier Food Group has been fined £14,000 by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) after the accident happened at their site in Merseyside, one of many production centres making goods for brands like Mr Kipling and Bisto.
Thomas Williams could use compensation lawyers to fight for reparations, as the incident means he will never be able to work again and has difficulty walking and speaking.
Personal injuries in the workplace are avoidable, according to Phil Redman, investigating inspector of the HSE, who opined: "There really is no excuse for a company the size of Premier Foods to make this kind of error when it comes to health and safety."
Individuals injured in such a way can use compensation to cover medical bills and lost wages.
A fine of £30,000 was recently issued following the accidental death of a builder hit by a digger.
