Importance of personal injury claims highlighted

The "myth" of compensation culture and the importance of people making personal
injury claims when an accident was not their fault as been highlighted.
Andrew Penman wrote in the Mirror that the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition government were wrong to attack the UK's supposed compensation culture.
Some experts in the field believe that the compensation culture is nothing more than a myth. This fabrication has been strengthened by the insurance industry in an effort to persuade firms and councils to increase their cover and let providers raise premiums, some experts said.
The news source said government statistics reveal that, aside from road traffic cases, there are actually fewer
personal injury claims.
Justice must still be accessible, the news source said, responding to the government's move to stop companies offering cash rewards to persuade those who had been in accidents to make claims.
In one recent successful case for the claimant, Aberdeenshire Council offered £20,000 compensation after one of the body's vehicles was involved in a collision with a Stagecoach bus.
