Judge supports man's injury claim

Personal Injury 02 Feb 2011

Judge supports man's injury claim A young pedestrian who was injured in a road traffic accident looks set to receive a multi-million-pound accident claim.

Almost five years ago, James Sedge was run over by a BMW X5 in Sheerness, which a judge determined Christopher Prime was driving too quickly, Kentonline.co.uk reported.

On June 2nd 2006, Mr Sedge, 25, was left with a serious accident injury and now requires care 24 hours a day, prompting his mother Yolanda Skinner to hire a compensation solicitor and launch a legal battle.

Judge Gary Burrell has now told the High Court that Mr Prime, 26, drove the car negligently, making the accident "75 per cent" his responsibility.

Furthermore, in a recent road accident compensation case a teenager was ordered to pay his mother £150 by a court, the Kilmarnock Standard reported. Daniel Johnstone was instructed to do so by Kilmarnock Sheriff Court after taking his mother's car while he only had a provisional licence and crashing it.
