Man wins £500,000 accident claim
Personal Injury 24 Jan 2011

A man who had an accident at work has won a £500,000 personal
injury claim after hiring
compensation solicitors.
The delivery driver received the pay out after falling from a van while at work, the York Press reported.
Colin White, 53, fell from the vehicle while in north York close to the outer ring road in 2005.
Claims solicitors said Mr White, of Altrincham, was using a van with a tail lift – which himself and a colleague had not been trained to operate – when he fell after stepping back onto the platform to find that the tail lift had been moved.
Following the fall, the father of two was temporarily paralysed and is now in constant pain. He has also been informed that he cannot work again.
Furthermore, Nestle last year paid out a six-figure
injury at work claim to a member of staff, Susan Ashe, who had a section of a limb amputated after an accident in a company warehouse.
