"Millions of pounds" expected from road accident claim
Personal Injury 23 Nov 2010

A road accident claim is likely to grant the victim "millions of pounds in compensation", after it was ruled Daniel Ince is eligible to demand personal injury reparations following a hit-and-run.
The Ealing Gazette reports the victim was critically injured when a speeding BMW knocked him down in 2004, leaving him with brain damage and in need of lifelong care.
His road accident claim will take account of his long-term medical needs, as well as offering compensation for the distress and difficulties engendered as a result of the incident.
Mr Ince's personal injury lawyer commented: "It has taken six years to get to this point today," adding: "His family would like to see justice done."
Judge Roger ter Haar QC has yet to decide upon the final payout for the road accident claim, saying 'quite a number of issues' need to be cleared up before the decision can be made.
A hit-and-run collision with a bike that left the victim in hospital for a year was recently resolved with a £2.4 million compensation package, the Oxford Mail reported.
