Personal injury solicitors subject to ad restrictions?

Personal injury solicitors might find restrictions placed upon marketing activities, as David Cameron is apparently in favour of a crackdown on the UK's "health and safety obsession".
The Daily Mail reports a number of individuals believe legislation to protect people from harm is overly restrictive and hinders free choice, with some arguing personal injury compensation is not always justified.
Those in need of personal injury lawyers following a car accident or incident in the workplace would be unlikely to agree, as every year thousands are helped to claim back medical costs and expenses following a mishap that was not their fault.
A government source commented: "What we are determined to see is a great extension of personal freedom, at the same time as a rolling back both of the state and the power of the courts."
It is unlikely many Britons would object to greater personal autonomy, but the National Accident Helpline recently argued reducing advertisements for personal injury solicitors will hamper people's access, as they will be less aware of their rights and how to secure legal assistance.
