Police incident results in £7,000 personal injury compensation
Personal Injury 29 Dec 2010

Personal
injury compensation worth £7,000 has been awarded to a woman hurt by the police after she questioned why they were arresting an acquaintance.
Debbie O'Reilly asked the reason for the man being restrained and was pushed by an officer before being sprayed with CS gas, the Daily Mail reports.
Compensation solicitors may have helped the victim win her payout, as she was initially charged with obstructing a police officer.
She was taken to the station in an official vehicle and says of her ordeal: "It was never about the money, it was just about them admitting they were wrong. Even though they have given me a settlement, I still haven't had an apology."
The personal injury compensation should account for the fact Ms O'Reilly's face was burned and blistered by the spray, while she claims only the intervention of a doorman prevented her from falling to the ground.
Personal
injury claims could be high at the moment due to the recent spate of bad weather, as AA Insurance has advised car accident cases double in extreme conditions, suggesting injury compensation may rise too.
