Snow 'raises risk' of car accident claims
Personal Injury 03 Dec 2010

Car accident claims may spike in the near future, as wintry weather across the whole of Britain increases the risk of an incident on the roads.
While all drivers should be aware of the danger of skidding on snowy or icy surfaces, the Telegraph reports motorists must also consider the dangers posed by snow on car roofs, as the Highways Agency warned such a build up could fall onto the windscreen or obstruct the vision of following vehicles.
A car accident claim may arise in seemingly unlikely circumstances, as drivers have been known to lose control of their autos while reversing out of driveways or manoeuvring to park.
RAC patrolman ambassador of the year Alan Wilcock reveals: ''We're still seeing cars on the road looking like portable snowdrifts, which could also see drivers falling foul of the law.''
Several weather-related deaths have already been reported this week and a car accident could result in significant personal injury compensation if the worst should happen.
Mike Rutherford advises drivers check their tyres are in perfect condition and have the optimum amount of air in them to minimise the risk of an incident.
