Workplace accident compensation pays £250,000 to injured man
Personal Injury 23 Aug 2010

Workplace compensation worth £250,000 has been paid to a man who fell while loading a lorry, causing injuries that mean he will never walk again.
Peter Snowling, 50, suffered a fractured skull and spinal damage when he stumbled off a ramp while packing sacks of peas, reports the Gazette.
Injury compensation solicitors may have secured him the significant payout, which should help pay medical costs and make up for loss of earnings.
The victim explains he can no longer walk as far as before the accident and distances that used to be manageable are now "a task".
Speaking of the compensation he received, Mr Snowling commented: "This sum I have got I have to live on now because it’s highly unlikely I will work again."
It was recently reported demand for legal services relating to employment law has increased 15 per cent in recent months, indicating people may be more assertive about their rights in a professional environment.
