Workplace victim wins £3,760 compensation
Personal Injury 25 Aug 2010

A man who passed out three times at a factory after inhaling toxic fumes has been awarded £3,760 compensation by his employers.
Eric Drummond was mixing paint at Rotherham Refinishing Supplies when he breathed in a poisonous cocktail of chemicals due to a poorly-ventilated working area, reports the Star.
Employment compensation lawyers may have been able to secure him the payout, which was granted as reparations for the three months he was forced to take off work.
Poor health and safety in a professional environment can endanger staff and others and may lead to the need for a claims expert to help individuals secure the compensation they deserve after suffering a mishap that was not their fault.
One lorry driver experienced just that, when an unsecured roof door on a vehicle he was unloading crashed onto his torso, hitting his shoulder and crushing his thumb.
The victim needed nine stitches and was awarded £5,500 compensation for damages.
