Soldier criticises injury compensation

A soldier who was awarded
injury compensation after he was shot has criticised the payout he received.
Kingsman Harrison Greaves told the Lancashire Telegraph that the £1,500 he was given was "disgraceful".
"I feel really angry about what I have been given considering I can only just move my arm and the most I can carry with it is a pint of water," he said.
Kingsman Greaves, who is from Greater Manchester, added that the army had not supported him since he was discharged from hospital and that he had to cope with physical pain as well as mental side effects.
The 19-year-old suffered the injury when he was shot in Afghanistan's Helmand Province in 2010.
He was originally treated for his injuries in Camp Bastion and later moved to Birmingham's Selly Oak Hospital.
In another recent case, Sergeant Rick Clements said that the injury compensation he received from the Ministry of Defence after being wounded in Afghanistan was insufficient.
