Woman awarded more than £1 million accident compensation
Personal Injury 14 Mar 2011

The High Court has ruled that a young woman should be awarded
car accident injury compensation to the tune of £1.35 million.
Sophie Wilkinson, now 20, was involved in a car accident in 2007, which she came away from with life-changing injuries, Portsmouth.co.uk reported.
As a result of the
road traffic accident she is set to receive the interim payment so that herself and her family can buy a new home that can be designed to meet her requirements.
Ms Wilkinson, of Eddington Close in Bishop’s Waltham, has remained at a Dorset rehabilitation centre since the accident and requires 24-hour care.
Now that she has been awarded the
accident compensation she can return to live with her family.
Her father said: "She is doing as well as can be expected. The overall objective of the family was always to bring her home. That’s what we always wanted – to get her safely home."
In another road accident legal case, Roger Excell was awarded £5,000 after he hit a temporary road works sign on his bicycle.
