Probate records have exposed the personal assets of recently deceased millionaire Jimi Heselden, who died on September 26th in a Segway accident after falling off a cliff while riding the self-balancing scooter.
Upon examination of his
probate records it was revealed the philanthropist owned assets worth around £290 million, significantly more than previous estimates that put the figure at £166 million, the Yorkshire Post reveals.
Two individuals have been granted permission to carry out estate administration, though exact details of his testament and the provisions included when making the will are unlikely to be known for several months.
Mr Heselden made his fortune through the invention of a bomb protection system used by the British army and last year his company bought the US based Segway firm that makes the popular tourist vehicles.
His funeral was held on Monday (October 11th), taking place in factory near his home, with thousands of mourners present to pay their respects.
