Professional executors 'step into the shoes of the deceased'
Probate & Estate Administration 08 Oct 2010
Professional executors assume the role of the deceased, ensuring their wishes are respected as laid out in a will, it has been stated.
Writing for citywire.co.uk, Alan Dickins advises making a will should be supported by following the correct legal procedure to avoid assets being put "in a deep freeze".
He explains
professional executors "are responsible for sorting out … affairs by collecting in all the assets, paying the debts and eventually distributing the balance between those entitled."
However, this can be complicated by probate disputes and the process significantly slowed by issues such as witness flaws, whereby it cannot be proved two observers were present at the time the testament was signed.
This indicates both the importance of reputable
will-writing services when it comes to drawing up this cricual document, as well as the value of
professional executors for carrying out estate administration.
The Daily Mail recently revealed a man used
probate records to find the owner of an antique ring, showing how significant
making a will can be for future generations.
