Will of Sex Pistols founder challenged by son
Probate & Estate Administration 21 Sep 2010

A will written by founder of the Sex Pistols Malcolm McLaren is being challenged by his son, who claims the recently-deceased icon was not in a fit state to make probate decisions before he died.
The testament orders Mr McLaren's entire estate to be left to his long-term girlfriend Young Kim, with whom he had been in a relationship for 12 years, reports the Daily Mail.
Such a dispute may be lengthy and painful for family and loved ones, with Ms Kim reportedly "desperate" to resolve the issue before it has to be taken up in court.
However, son Joe Corre is disputing the testament on the ground his father may not have been mentally equipped for will-writing during the final months of his life.
This illustrates the importance of will-writing as early as possible, while using reputable firms should help ensure all the legal issues are properly carried out, leaving no room for disputes or contention in the difficult period after a loved one dies.
Best known for the single God Save the Queen, the Sex Pistols were a controversial punk rock band famous in the 1970s.
