Expert gives wills and probate advice
Probate & Estate Administration 29 Jul 2011

People interested in
wills and probate matters have been given some advice regarding the executor of their estate.
The chairman of The Institute of Professional Willwriters (IPW), Paul Sharpe, said that people should be aware that the executor of their estate does not have to be their will provider.
"Administering your estate may not be difficult so you can appoint family or friends," he said.
Mr Sharpe also pointed out that if loved ones find themselves struggling during the
probate process they can look for professional help to assist with either all or just some of the work involved.
People should also be aware that it is crucial that they choose the right
executor so that their will is not contested after their passing, their loved ones are not subject to undue distress and their estate is distributed in a timely fashion.
In addition, people should discuss the role of executor with the person they have appointed as soon as possible so that they are aware what is required of them.
