Probate news: Tony Chan charged with forgery over will
Probate & Estate Administration 27 May 2011

Those interested in probate matters have been told that authorities have charged Tony Chan, former boyfriend of Nina Wang, with forgery.
Charges have been made over a 2006 will which Mr Chan said meant he was to be the beneficiary of Mrs Wang's estimated £7.4 billion fortune.
Last year, a probate ruling was made that a different 2002 document would be used and that the one Mr Chan produced was a fake.
The 2002 will names the beneficiary of Mrs Wang's estate as the Chinachem Charitable Foundation, which is run by her family.
When the Commercial Crime Bureau arrested Mr Chan last year following the probate ruling, charges were not made.
In another case a few years ago, a daughter was jailed after she forged the will of her dying mother.
Dinah Lambert was supposed to split her mother's assets with her three step-siblings but bought a will writing kit to try and trick her family, saying on this document that she was the executor of the will.
