Probate records have revealed the late agony aunt Claire Rayner left her significant estate to a number of will beneficiaries, including her hairdresser
Ms Rayner passed away at a hospital near her home in London last October, having never fully recovered from surgery earlier in the year. She was 79 years old.
The probate records reveal she left the majority of her £898,823 fortune to her husband Des, the DailyRecord.co.uk reported.
Another
will beneficiary was her hairdresser Maritza Stitcher. Ms Stitcher received £15,000 from Ms Rayner, who said the gift was "in gratitude for her long and faithful service to me".
During her long career Ms Rayner wrote advice for the readers of the Sun, the Sunday Mirror and Women's Own, as well as authoring more than 90 books.
She was also a passionate campaigner, receiving an OBE for "services to women's issues and health issues" in 1996, and was associated with more than 50 charities.
