TV show reveals wills and probate information on aristocrat
Probate & Estate Administration 28 Feb 2011

Those interested in
wills and probate have been told that a TV show has revealed the worth of an estate left by a Russian aristocrat who died in the UK.
Probate specialists on Heir Hunters found that Alexandra Koshevnikova's estate was worth £5,000 to £15,000 following her death at the age of 100, Bucksfreepress.co.uk reported.
Ms Koshevnikova left Russia following the death of her father during the Bolshevik Revolution, moving to New York, and later to Berlin, with her mother and brother, apparently spending a large amount of their fortune on the way.
In 1966 she settled in a flat in Holtspur Way, Beaconsfield and died in the UK in 2008 without deciding to make a will.
Furthermore, the importance of
probate solicitors was highlighted in a case last year in which a testament from a deceased homeowner was not taken to probate. The Echo reported that a house in Southend has been unoccupied for 15 years according to reports from neighbours.
